“A little bit of glow and a whole lot of charm.”
I have admired Pixi from afar for so long now. Even if it’s just for the pretty packaging, it’s a beautiful looking product, and that’s coming from someone who hated pink for most of my life (goth4life). The brand itself is also super inspiring so prepare for a girl boss moment.
Creator Petra Strand said she wanted a brand that gave women the chance to multitask whilst treating their skin (and let’s face us we’re boss at multitasking). As a mother of four, she said she was missing a multipurpose product in her make up bag as a consumer and a make up artist, so she started up Pixi 10 years ago – what a legend.
Imagine my squeals of delight when I got Pixi Peel & Polish at CarnLIVal. No seriously, just picture it. I was joyous. I had to resist smothering my face with it while still at the venue (I have absolutely zero will power) so I gave it a try that weekend. There are two options with the Peel & Polish, you can:
- Apply a thin layer, leave for two minutes and wash off or
- Apply a think layer, leave on for two minutes, buff it into your skin with your fingers for 30 seconds and then wash off
I have only ever buffed because my skin is currently being tortured by the air con in work (flakes be gone ok) and I felt like a new woman. My skin smelt, felt and looked amazing. This is totally, totally worth the hype.
My skin felt as smooth as freshly opened Nutella. You really have to give it a try to believe it, it will blow your mind!
