My Summer Skin Wishlist

I’ve been a bit naughty.

Yeah, I’m sorry, I really have. For years I haven’t been taking care of my skin. How, you ask? Not drinking enough water? Nah, I have plenty of natures nectar. Not taking your make up off at night? I’m not that naughty. Guys, it’s SPF. I haven’t been using it. And that’s just downright sinful. And wasn’t it the lovely Kim K who is always saying to us – SPF is important. And she’s right. She has the skin of a goddess, so let’s listen to her. So I’ve compiled a list of my SPF dream items – for hydrated, happy, healthy and most of all, safe, skin.

L’Occitane UV Shield SPF 40 – £21

I hear SPF40 and my skin bursts into song. The protection! The safety! Think of the possibilities. You know what else gives me all the good goosebumps? The brand. A regular Christmas favourite in our household, L’Occitane have a huge range of moisturisers, but this one has one of my absolute favourite ingredients – Shea butter. Yummy. It also lasts 48 hours. Less work for you, ladies.

Clinique Even Better Skin Tone Correcting Moisturiser SPF 20 – £41

When I was a young’un, I went on holiday with school and never applied sun cream to my face. What a fool I was. Ever since, I’ve had noticeably different skin tones on the bridge of my nose – so much so, that it gives my under eye circles extra oomph that I wish they didn’t have. So this product sounds perfect. It creates an even skin tone and keeps protecting you from any future nasties, as well. Fabulouso!

Benefit Triple Performing Facial Emulsion – £27

Gosh I love Benefit, don’t you? I bought my first ever high end make up from Benefit and I’ve been head over heels for them ever since. Hoola is life, y’know? And their face creams are shamazinggggg. Their It’s Potent! Eye cream is one of my favourites.

I’ve yet to sample the facial emulsion, which has a gentle SPF 15 and a funky bottle, so it’s earned its place on my SPF Wishlist.

Kiehl’s Ultra Facial Cream SPF 30 – £24.50

I’ve recently dipped my toe (not literally) into the world of Kiehl’s and I’ll never look back. Their night and day serum’s leave me feeling, and looking, fresh as a white daisy (see what I did there?). I’m so excited to one day try their SPF face cream, to keep me safe and fabulous all day!

The Body Shop Skin Defence Multi-Protection Essence SPF 50 – £20

I couldn’t do a wish list without The Body Shop really, could I? One of my favourite brands, and on recommendation from the lovely Alice Red, this little beauty has right of place on my Wish List. Boasting an impressive SPF 50, it’s definitely something I’m going to invest in this year!
