The Surgery, Urmston

More food.

That’s right. More food. I can’t get enough of the stuff, so I’m always psyched when I get to go to restaurants to try out new menus. Last week, I was lucky enough to get to go to a new restaurant in Urmston in Manchester.

A converted doctors surgery, the aptly named Surgery restaurant, invited us in to try out their delicious menu and huge range of cocktails!

Former teacher, Andy, decided to open the restaurant with his wife, and the results are amazing.

Stylish interior, an open kitchen and an outstanding menu, it’s really exciting to see a slice of City Centre Manchester brought to Urmston.

Meaty burgers, thin based pizzas and flavour filled olives – what more could you need? It also helps that the interior isn’t just stylish, it’s sexy. With Eames style chairs, wooden topped tables and comfortable leather seats, it’s easy to sit back, sip a cold beer and lose track of time whether it’s gossiping with friends or having a family meal.

There were families there last week, dancing to the live singers, having fun and it was generally just a great atmosphere.

With polite staff, terrific food and (my favourite) the selection of cocktails, I’ll definitely be going back for more!

The Surgery is officially open for business as of yesterday, Tuesday 21st March.
