You know what I love most in life? Food.
I wake up in the morning and I am excited about food. There is very little I won’t eat (celery, why do you exist?) so the possibilities are endless. And so when I saw there was an opportunity to go to try out Solita’s new private dining area with food and drinks, I leapt at the chance.
I had completely forgotten that I’ve been there before, but in the restaurant. I remember the food being incredible. My brother, Liam, came with me and was incredibly excited (after a few ‘what should I wear?!’ texts).
When we arrived, I remembered clearly just how beautiful the interior is. It’s fancy, it’s hipster, with naked light bulbs hanging from the ceilings and neon signs telling you “don’t grow up, it’s a trap!”
The dining room we were shown is just as gorgeous. With deep leather booths, plenty of seating and an open kitchen, it’s easy to see why they’re so excited about this new edition to their restaurant. It’s easily going to bring in a lot of people, for endless events.
The food itself was also a dream. Burger meat and cheese in a spring roll? Bring out the person who created that and let me kiss them on the damn mouth. That’s incredible. Why aren’t these people getting letters at the end of their names?
Inventor of the burger spring roll, OBE.
I also got the opportunity to see the charming and ever so hilarious bloggers Lyd and Tasmin. Lyd brought her lovely boyfriend Adam and Tasmin brought her sister, Rachel!
And this is exactly why I love events. You meet people and you hit it off. We were laughing from start to finish and I can say hand on heart, it’s one of the best events I’ve ever been to.
A huge thank you to Solita’s for the invite – we had the best time and we can’t wait to go back!
